Busy, Busy, Busy! That’s quite busy

Over the last week I’ve been to a Dr Feelgood gig in Newcastle and joined Youth Journalism International (there’s lots of the other little things but I can’t remember them all individually). Revision for my exams starts now and I’ve handed over the school newspaper to be published. I’ve also had an invite to write for BBC Tyne News. The first article I did for YJI is on my news blog and I will put the link to the text so you can go straight to it.

Today I’ve been to youth club and I’m thinking of applying to be in the Richmondshire Youth District Council. I need a couple of people to second me though. I will find someone. The new issue of The Tattoo which is the news for YJI is out but I don’t think I’m in it. If you want you can have a look at it anyway at www.readthetattoo.com . A bit of a short blog tonight but I didn’t have much to tell you. Most of it’s about exams (boring). Oh well. Can’t think of  a way to end this post so just Bye for now.

Part of last nights blog tonight (the iPod doesn’t let me publish it)

This Thursday I raised £210 for charity with the help of some friends at charities evening. The group were mostly from the Poole family so I came up with the name for our team of Poole and the gang. It’s a play on words of Kool and the gang. I finally got an interview with Lewis Stabler in my year for the school newspaper. Me, Becky and Jordan were writing the it up the other day. The Buzz is nearly ready for us to edit but I’m waiting for a couple of cartoons and articles to come in. I’ve started to learn how to draw manga which is one of the types of drawings that Sophie, Anna and Rachel are doing. I just thought that i would have a go at the stuff they are working on and it’s good.

Haven't really got much to put in tonight but tomorrow there’s a talk about Darlington College that I'm going to. On Wednesday is the Sixth form open evening as well. In ten days Dennis is off to France to work there for about 4 months. He’s away for Christmas and my birthday but we have him on Skype so I can still talk to him. I’m off now. Bye!

Happy Halloween!

It’s Halloween and no I’m not going trick or treating. This week I’ve been busy. I had various people coming to mine on different days. Becky who helps with the school newspaper came on Thursday and Vicky Lee and Jack on Friday. We have now got the wristbands for the school newspaper as you can probably see from the picture I put in. It’s also been Gran’s Birthday this week so happy birthday Gran (again). We went to a party for her last night and didn’t get back and asleep until about one in the morning. It was Dennis’s driving experience today and he got to drive a Ferrari as well as other cars. On Thursday Becky gave me a fake lizard which is currently lying on the top of my computer monitor and I've got a picture as well. I will put all the pictures at the bottom.

I’m also writing a bit for itsnotwhoiam.com which is a website about Sara Elizabeth Clark. She is a young person about my age who also has epilepsy and she does this website to raise awareness. I’m writing a bit for the “This is who I am” section of the site. I will keep you updated on that but tomorrow it’s back to school, and we move into the new building completely. I’ll have to get used to a new time table. Only new rooms though. I was talking to my friend called Kirsty the other day and she is doing a number of bike rides in a couple of months to get up to 1000 miles and it’s for charity. She is raising money for neurofibromatosis which she has. As soon as I can access the link for her sponsor page I will put it up if anyone wants to sponsor her.

Here are the couple of pictures of the things I said about. By the way we named the toy lizard Lenny so he’s Lenny the lizard.

Buzzzzzz!

This week I have finally managed to get the first meetings of The Buzz board members together but still haven’t had a meeting with them all. I have had a meeting with a couple of the boys and a couple of the girls but not everyone. My stand in co-editor, Jason did have a meeting where most of the writers came but we are still tracking down a few of them. I have now organized to have a few meetings online so that I can still keep up to date. Only because I have Fairtrade meetings on Tuesdays and that's when everyone thinks we are meeting up.

I have managed to get a guest blogging opportunity for Pied Magazine. There was some confusion over whether I wanted to write for them or whether I was just guest blogging but i have now sorted that out and I’m going to write the article over the weekend. Feel free to have a look at their website. I've also got the photo for this week of my Year 11 in pictures. I must admit that I forgot to do it and it’s one I did at home but it’s still to do with school. I will put it at the bottom of the post.

I seem to have quite a busy December according to school work. I have exams and also I have to run a cake stall every break time the week before the exams. It’s part of our ASDAN project and the money goes to charity. We have to make them as well. Oh well. Anyway here is my picture for this week. It’s just a picture of the agenda I wrote down and it’s boring but it will have to do. I’m off to bed now. Night Night.

That picture’s out of focus. That’s Better

I haven’t done a blog post for a while but yesterday I went to see another play. This time it was a comedy called Out of focus. Hence the play on words in the blog post title.  I was supposed to have a meeting for The Buzz but my co-editor ended up in hospital. I haven’t heard much since but have asked one of the writers to help me get an issue together. I am beginning to doubt that we will get a mid October issue out though. I'm getting somewhere with the spoof album cover though. Here it is. As I don’t have one for this week this can also be my picture for year 11 in pictures.

PastedGraphic-1

I didn’t do a picture for the previous week either but I have used one I took for a school project. Here it is.

DSCF2070

Short blog today but I hadn’t had the internet for half of the time so I couldn’t do some of it. I hope I get an issue published for The Buzz. Anyway bye for now.

Reggie the bus driver – best bus driver ever!

The last few days I have been quite busy but in a good way. I’ve been organizing the school newspaper and also doing ASDAN. I’m still waiting for a reply from my guest blogger but I’m sure I will eventually get a reply. I’ve had several emails back and forth from Dr Alison Brown. She has been helping with my ancestry research. Today is the deadline for writers for my school newspaper and next week I think we are going to have a meeting. I’ve been working on an article about a student in my year called Lewis Stabler who has received some special cricket training. For once I didn’t type studnet instead of student. I’m still waiting for a reply to my interview questions though. I am working on that and now working on, and have almost finished an article on the guy, who I said about in my last post who came to do the assembly.
As you can see from the title I mentioned my bus diver (Reggie) who has now come up with nicknames for us. Grace who is head of the school fairtrade group that I’m in is called Paddy because she said to Reggie that she is half Scottish and half English and now he calls her an Irish name as a joke. My nickname is Bopple Popper or perhaps he said it was wopple bobble. No idea why but I think it’s  quite funny. Only Reggie is allowed to call me that though, although I don’t mind people on the bus calling me that. Matt who is Grace's brother is rockweiler.
Today for a piece of coursework for ASDAN I had to write an article about ways to meet friends in Richmondshire. I found it quite fun as I like that sort of stuff. I got to go out and do a bit of photography as well. Anyway for now this is Bopple Popper signing off.

Best Assembly ever (So Far)

Today I had an assembly and it was done by an American called David Crow. He never completed his education and has ended up going from one job to the next very quickly since he left around 25 years ago. He was here to tell us how important having a full education and working hard is. He’s now going to college to get a teaching qualification but was showing us the stuff he would like to do in the future. He did impressions and did some very good ones of Usain Bolt and other sports but some good dancing ones. Especially a one of his Michael Jackson moon walk.

That was that but I also was selling fairtrade from Mrs Garnetts cupboard at lunch due to where I was on the new rota system. It’s a wheel that gets turned everyday to see what people are doing. It’s a good system because it means that we know who is doing

what on which days but also ended up forcing me not to go to the Environmentalists group. Oh well.

We have now got some German exchange students over and I haven’t really spoken to them but I have two in my tutor. Actually no one turned up to do our tutor today. The Buzz is nearly ready for it’s first ever meeting as the writers sign up comes to a deadline on Friday. I reckon we will get an issue out for mid October.

I’m in the process of organizing a guest post on my environment blog by Tiffany Jo Allen. An American singer. She has had over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. If that’s the case it will draw some major traffic to my blog hopefully. It’s not just about traffic though. I want to have a variety of subjects and authors on my blog instead of just me all the time. It’s more interesting for my readers (of the few I have).  Here is a video on her performing. I will leave this post there but I will try to keep you up to date.

Is my tutor group now 11 Craven/ Middleton/Sharp?

I’ve now had three tutors and although one left he came back to visit today and promised to come back on results day. He also promised to do a bit in our year book of which the planning starts next week. It was great to see Mr Middleton back and everyone was catching up on stuff with him. He apparently has a picture of us on his desk. He was telling a story of how he is a pilgrim moving from school to school but Richmond was the one he liked the most.

Anyway enough about Mr Middleton (Sorry Mr Middleton but I have to put other stuff in). I’ve been working on the school newspaper and I now have the template for the noise which I will adjust to our style. I’m going to have to create a timetable for when I do newspaper stuff because three teachers have said that I shouldn’t let it take over from school work. I don’t think it should but the only reason they said that was because I was checking something for it before we started work in a lesson the other day. I won’t do it again.

We spent period 2 & 3 down at lower school clearing up rubbish as part of an ASDAN challenge. I was told that it would be a surprise on what we were doing today but I did think it might be better. I was still happy with what we had done though. Finally I will put on this weeks photo in my year eleven record in photos. it’s one I took today of Naomi who is in my tutor group having a hug with Mr Middleton. They don’t know I took it. Here it is anyway.

Photo0023Hope you like it. I’m off now. Bye! PS; I really should think of something better and more interesting than bye to put at the end of my posts.

First day of year 11. didn’t do much

It was the first day of year 11 today and I didn’t do much mainly because two and a bit lessons of the day where filled by admin and assemblies. We have a new co-tutor called Mr Sharp. For once when I’m trying to remember his name I actually did. He is now doing registration on Mondays and Fridays because Mrs Craven is now working part time. I have talked to the head and he says to show him the ideas for the school newspaper on Monday so I will go to see him then.

I’ve started a project for myself to do a picture everyday of the year at school and upload it to my blog. It’s kind of like a record of the year. Here is my first one.

Photo0020

It’s not very interesting I will admit but there wasn’t much to get a picture of apart from different parts of the school today. I promise to get a better one next time. After losing the disc with my documentary on I managed to find two copies of it in my bedroom. At least I found one. Apparently in April next year we might do another ASDAN trip but this time in a residential place and it will be three nights. Sounds good. Bye 4 now!

My first ever vlog!

The last couple of days I’ve hardly been in apart from today. Yesterday I was a Bewerley Park and that was really good (again). I also restarted my family tree research when I was up with Gran on Wednesday and found out quite a bit but it’s probably boring to you so I will leave what we found out and also it’s in great detail so I might have taken a while. The day before I went to the Hancock museum in Newcastle with Freda.

I did my first ever vlog today and so far not many visits but I only published it a few minutes ago. My friend Kirsty insisted that were I had mentioned her as she it had to be her name but I didn’t record it again. just put an annotation on it. Kirsty is off to college in nine days so I thought I would give her a mention. Here it is below.

I signed up for a free environment journalism course online the other day. looks really good. I’ve also had my guest blog posted on dragonblogger.com. Go to have a look if you want. It’s about the top 5 sites from the last five years. I also managed to get Kirsty on Skype so we can still talk when she goes to college but our friend Connor has now gone on it now. I didn’t expect him to. I’ve just got an email back about my family tree research back so I’m going to have a look at that but I’m watching QI at the moment. Bye 4 now!

What should I call this blog post? No idea

I’ve no idea what to call this blog post but once you’ve read it please feel free to tell me. The last few days I’ve been working on the school newspaper and I stayed at Freda’s house for a night. we came up with the name. we can now reveal it will be called The Buzz. We’ve designed a logo and a template although I think I’m going to get the template from The Noise which is the sixth form newspaper and use that.

I haven’t really done much apart from that. I went out to Darlington as Gran wanted to get some money out of the bank and get some other stuff done. I came with her as she was looking after me today. I got a nice ice cream from Thorntons as well. Oh and yesterday we had to rush back after I went to Freda’s as I was getting m haircut and the person who does it was already there. It’s nice and short now. Ready to gel up but really ready for holidays. We’re going next Tuesday! I better start charging stuff up.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do about blogging on holiday. I can’t do it on my mobile as it costs a fortune so I might not bother although I will do one when I get back. I promise. I’ve got plenty to read on holiday because I've got lots to catch up on. Anyway I'm off now as I’m really supposed to be in bed. Night Night.

Summer holidays start here!

It's now the summer holiday and in two days it's Dad's birthday. This week I've had achievements assembly which is always good even when I don't win anything. Good entertainment. I got my timetable for next school year or at least a draft of it. We also had a leaving party for Shannon who was a member of our tutor. She's off to another school. I did managed to by accident hit Mrs Cravens head while trying to get a balloon. I did say sorry. She was fine. i've now come up with a name for the school newspaper that I'm trying to get going. I'm going to call it The Soundwave I think. My friends think it's a good name and it's similar to The Noise which is the sixth form newspaper. I did make a joke of calling it The not so noisy newspaper. A bit long I think.

There was a thing on youtube today about recording something that you do and uploading it so that a guy can make a video of what youtube users have done on that day. It kind of gave me an idea. It might be hard but I'm going to try to get a picture of something everyday in the next school year and put it on a post on my blog. I'll create a special page for it. I think my blog posts are getting shorter each time. What do you think? Anyway Happy Holidays and bye for now.

Goodbye Year 10, Hello Year 11!

It’s come to that time again when it’s the last week of the school year and everything is finishing off. The only thing you end up doing is finishing off bits of work in class that aren’t too hard or you end up doing something fun. Although this year it’s also goodbye to several members of our year and several staff. So I'd like to say goodbye to Mr. Middleton(even though he went last week) and Shannon who has been a member of our tutor group and my music tech teacher who is leaving the school after standing in for a teacher who left for a couple of month.  Other staff are just moving to other jobs in the school. I had achievements assembly today and I didn’t win anything but there’s always good entertainment and it’s good to see what our year as a whole have achieved.

The only solo performances were from Laura and Callum in our tutor group and they were really good. They always are. Going off the subject of school for a minute. I was reading the biography of Tommy Cooper today and it was mentioning a couple of his jokes. They wouldn’t have been that funny if he hadn’t done it. It’s the way he does them that makes them so funny. My favourite one said something like “Before I start my performance I’d like to say this. This”. I'm off to bed now but I’m going to try to keep you up to date on what I’m up to as normal. Keep checking back if you want to keep up to date.

A busy but good week (So far)

This week I’ve been on the ASDAN Camping trip and I’ve had my headphone port on my computer replaced. Also my iPod touch has been updated. I’ve been trying most of the day to get the pictures from the camp onto facebook. It takes ages. It was Mr Middleton's Last day yesterday and I missed his surprise but I have got some of the pictures. everyone thinks he’s a legend. He is. Those of you who did read my one post on my microblog thanks you. I won’t be posting on there regularly as I prefer to do whole blogs but when I have to do it by text it’s easier.

Next week is my last week of Year 10. It’s gone so quickly. I might have mentioned it in an earlier blog but Mr Robertson (School Headmaster for those who don’t know) has agreed to work on a school newspaper for students that aren’t in Sixth form when we go back. We’ve got achievements assembly next Wednesday. i probably won't get anything but there’s always some good performances showing the talent in our year.

I managed to lose my coat on the camping trip but we think we know where it might be. I would put some pictures on of the trip but there’s too many to choose from. Anyway I’m off for now until the next blog. I’m being called to go down stairs so I’ll blog another time. Bye

Pre ASDAN Camping trip blog

Tomorrow I go on the ASDAN camping trip and I’m keeping a micro blog. I keep a normal blog but while I’m away I would have to do it on my phone and that’s expensive and takes ages. The link to get on my micro blog is: www.robertmooney.tumblr.com . I will be back on Friday and I will have plenty of pictures to put on.

I get to go in non uniform tomorrow but I’ve got a lot of stuff to take. Although I’m going to miss Mr Middleton’s leaving Surprise. He’s leaving on Friday. I got some of the nice things from his fan group on Facebook. It’s called Mr Middleton is a legend. Mr. Middleton is actually a legend though. I've only done a very short blog today and I tried to do one last night but my blogging program on my iPod touch has stopped working and don’t worry about the micro blogging thing. I’m not going to be doing it permanently because I hate micro blogging because I normally like to write a full blog but on a camping trip I can’t. The normal blog will be back after the camping trip.

I’m also trying to get a student newspaper for the years below sixth form and Mr Robertson and lots of other people said they will definitely do it next year. it worked then. I had an interview with the head today and he was just checking up on how I was doing really. Nice to have a head like that. Anyway I'm off camping. see you in a few days (or at least blog in a few days.

Finally! No more Voovooselas

The last couple of weeks I haven’t done a blog so a lot to catch up on. I’ve been on work experience which has been different although I have to go back to lessons tomorrow. I also won a junior sports award.  I got a medal and a certificate. Dad’s just framed the certificate for me.  I also got to see part of the new school build being done and the fairtrade group are finally coming up with ideas for making this money that went missing up. I’ve come up with several posters and ideas for getting more people buying fairtrade products. We came up with the idea of putting a message on the screen in middle school which you can do on the school intranet. Although we need to have a meeting about it first.

I've also caught up with some old Kepplewray friends online and one of them got me writing a story but it’s a work in progress. It’s about a boy who does work experience at Yorkshire Post and writes for his school newspaper. He gets invited back to write for them properly but when he starts to write his first article something goes wrong. I know what goes wrong but I'm leaving you wondering at the moment. I’ve signed up to something to publish it online although I sort of didn’t have to.

I’ve got two more weeks left in year ten. I will try to keep you as up to date as possible. Oh and finally the world cup has finished. Well almost. I’m not saying that the world cup is bad. I’m just saying that finally I don’t have to hear voovooselas any more! I nearly published this to the wrong blog. Changed it in time though. So Vaarwel or Adios. It depends who wins.

Can't think of s title for tonights post

Today I've been doing catch up work for my ICT and I don't need much more. I've got two more sections to do. I thought I was supposed to be doing the thing that I did my music tech homework for today but it's tomorrow I'm doing it. I have to get my class to guess the instruments in the song I've chosen.

In ASDAN all except for one of us all got static electric shocks somewhere in our body one at a time. I got it in my feet but it was wierd. We had to read through the three main political parties manifestos in lifeskills today. We had to copy all the bits about education. Every party had an easy read version apart from the labour party. We didn't bother going through all seveteen pages of it but I used a text search to get some bits. I'm off now. Night night

More computer problems

Today I've been doing my ICT coursework and I also went down to watch Dad and Dennis play cricket. I've still got more of my coursework to do tomorrow. Although I keep having problems with my computer and it keeps stopping responding and losing the Internet. It was also having problems starting up until I took the memory card out.

This is the day when surprisingly I am actually getting fed up of computers. I need to do work tomorrow but also want to watch the marathon on tv tomorrow. I think it's the marathon anyway. I'm off now. Bye!!!

More computer problems

Today my computer started to freeze and lose the Internet like the other day. It's annoying. I also had my new Music Tech teacher today. In his last school he only had two lessons a day. I have to find a song and pick out the different instrument in it and see if my classmates get the same ones. I said I would do it first as no one else wanted to.

In the environmetalists group meeting today we were just really organising stuff and giving updates. I'm going to try to do an article for my enviroblog as no one else will. Pip who is another member if the group did a really good song about global warmingso I'm going to do an article on that and she's going to record it. I'm off to sleep. Byee!

I can normally think of a good blog post title but not today

Today I started to learn a new song called Set the fire to the first bar on the the guitar. Unfortunatly I left my guitar at school. I have been discharged from appointments at Darlington hospital. I also finally got the fairtrade products price list today so I can finish off the website. I got an E in my maths test which considering the highest grade I could get was a C it's not too bad.

My computer has decided it will lose the Internet and disconnect the keyboard so I'm stuck with no internet on my computer at the moment. Also it doesn't want to shut down. We meet our new teacher for music tech tomorrow. I hope he's nice. I'm off to try to shut this computer down and then go to bed. Byee!

A wierd but good day at school if you can call school good

Today we got to school to find out that our teacher for first lesson is stuck in America. Apparently seventeen teachers including the head were off today. We were supposed to be having a new Music tech teacher today but he didn't turn up. We don't know whether he was stuck as well or whether he forgot. He's got a funny name and he's called Mr Melon.

We also had a new tutor group member today called Emma so now we have two Emmas in the group. Apparently she wasn't very nice to one of our tutor group so no one seems to like her all that much.

Now for the stuff I forgot to put in the last blog post. I was chatting to my friends Kirsty and Connor yesterday and we came up with nicknames for each other. I am Robo, Kirsty is just Kirst and Connor is constable Connor. I'm off to sleep now. Night night to my blog readers.

Strange msn conversations and boring to write articles

Apparently according to my friends my nickname that they call me by is Robo. Kirsty who came up with it is nicknamed Kirst and Connor who was talking to us in the same conversation in constable Connor. I tried to write an article for my envrionment blog about what the candidates for the election planned to do to take action on Climate change. Although I just kept listing policies and repeating myself. Also it got quite boring and it meant that I wasn't talking to my friends because I was doing that.

Back to school tomorrow. I've got ASDAN, Music Tech, English and something else. I don't know what though. I get to see my friends again though. By the way just because i have a new nick name that my friend calls me it doesn't mean you can as well. I'm off now and I'm gonna try to get to sleep without me having to tell dad to turn the volume on the tv Down again although I think I might have to. Bye!

No blog for a couple of days but now I'm back

I haven't blogged for a couple of days as I've been away most of the week. I watched the election debate last night and like most people I think that Nick Clegg won. I took part in The Climate Summit today and have several new environment blog authors. The summit had people from Australia, America, the UK and other countries.

The latest update on the Melsonby murder is that the husband of the women who was murdered has been arrested and charged. He's appearing in court tomorrow. I still don't know how they can prove he did it with so little evidence. I went out on my bike tonight while Dad and Dennis got practice in for tomorrows cricket match. I'm off now to watch the end of QI so bye for now!

Quick blog tonight

Hi. I actually forgot to do the blog over the last couple of nights and this is our last night in Lanzarote. Today we sort of just relaxed and did some packing because we couldn't really do much. Last night there was a man going round asking for peoples money. Not in a stealing way though.

He couldn't aford stuff so he was depending on people money is what I guess he was doing. Dad gave him some change and he came back very angry as we hadn't given him much. We went back to the restaraunt from the first night tonight and it was very nice. I worked out that by the time we get back tomorrow it will be about ten o'clock so I will be straight off to bed I think. As always I'm tired so I'm off to bed. Night night blog readers (probably by the time you're reading this it will be day time tomorrow).

Our little trip out

We had a trip out to see the art of Cesan Marique and where he lived. Also some lovely water gardens that you got some great views from. I got a t shirt with the Lanzarote logo on it. We went to resteraunt at tea time but the service was very slow. It was nice when it got there though. They had electronic things to take orders that were wirelessly sent to the kitchen or somewhere.

Happy Easter to my blog readers! We didn't see any kind of Easter celebrations here but perhaps they don't. I finally managed to stop being tricked by the computer clock being an hour wrong today. I had to ask my friend in the end. I'm a poet and I didn't know it. Or did I? Please feel free to correct me on my possibly bad spelling of Cesan. I think it's wrong. I'm going to read my book for a few minutes now. Bye.

Lanzablog 2

Today we went to fire mountain and went on a sort of tour telling us about the volcano. We also went to see an experiment where a guy was cooking from the heat of the volcano and he put some water down a hole and it shot back up as steen really quickly. I have got some good pictures. We had tea in the apartment tonight so I've done my blog a bit earlier.

We spent a lot of the day at the volcano but went to have an ice cream in Playa Blanca because mum wanted to see what they had in the town. We were also quite hot so we needed something to cool us down and refresh us.

We got the car as you had probably realised by the fact that we had gone to the volcano. It's quite small but for short journies it's not bad. I'm going to read a bit of my book now. It's taking me longer than I thought to read it. oh well. Byee!?!?!?!

Lanzablog 1

I'm on my second day in Lanzarote and we managed to hire a car which we have to get in the morning. Sorry but I forgot to do a blog yesterday and by the time I remembered I was really tired. I have started to read the second Dot.Robot book and I've actually nearly finished it.

I got some good pictures but on my phone as I forgot to pack my video camera and I can't put them on now anyway. I'm going to read a bit more of my book as although I said I was nearly at the end of the book I really meant that I was reading it fast. The last Dot.Robot book took me most of the holiday to read. I seem to read bookon holiday a lot. I'm off now. Despedida (that means goodbye in Spanish)

Your light switch needs you

I'm in a hotel in stansted at the moment. Getting the flight at half past eight tomorrow morning. If your wondering what the title of my blog means I will explain. Today in the environmentalists group we were coming up with ways to make people save energy in school. One was to switch off lights when not in the room. We came up with posters and I got the image of the recruitment thing from the war and crossed out country and replaced it with lightbulb.

Another member of the group called Pip is writing a song to raise awareness after my previous failed attempt. Although my blog has had visits from 17 countries. I'm off to bed now. Night Night blog readers.

Jus' Like that

Yesterday night I went to see Clive Mantle doing his Tommy Cooper act. It was so funny. Really good. I joined in with earth hour earlier on and I was going to watch Mock the week but my tv signal went. Apparently my blog came up in a google search the other day. Stan the Rev man in Melsonby was searching to find a bit about the post office murder. So a shout out to Stan on my blog tonight. Hope you are still reading it.

I need to do some work on my ICT coursework tomorrow. I'm not behind but I don't want to have to get behind. I've been going to my teachers special sessions. I'm tired now so I'm off to sleep and when I wake up it will be an hour ahead. Not an hour ahead of now but you know what I mean. I'm goi g to post this. Now. Jus' like that!

Nearly finished my coursework

I'm now on the last couple of sections of my ICT coursework. I've got about 14 pages of planning and evidence but that's nothing compared to another boy in my class who has 36 pages. The deadline has been extended by a month as well. I went to the catch up session today but I only got the specification finished and I've been given a load of really small changes to make.

I was just watch the gadget show on demand five and they were using gadgets to beat the proffesionals at gaming, sport and diagnosing diseases. It was quite interesting. I've realised that my English essay on An inspector calls just keeps getting longer and longer because I keep thinking of stuff to put in and I seem to be finding it quite easy. I've not done much else that's really interesting today so till the next time byeee!?!?!

Murder in Melsonby (sorry for the really awful title)

Yesterday just after the school bus had gone through Melsonby the postmistress was murdered and this is six days after the one year anniversary of the post office robbery. Sorry to start a blog entry off like that. I got a draft of my progress check for school today and most of it was empty so it needs to be fixed.

An examinor came in today to ha e a look at our Music tech work. He seemed quite impressed. I also have about three new authors on my environment blog. I am quite tired and mum is telling me to go to sleep so I've got to go. Byee!

Outpatient appointment and stuff that happened at school (not much)

Today I went for an outpatient appointment for my finger and now have just one plaster on it. The stitches should dissolve in the next couple of weeks. Let's just hope my finger doesn't. I was listening to Opposite to adults earlier which is a remix of Kids by MGMT. It's done by Chiddy Bang. Perhaps they should make a musical and call it Chiddy Chiddy Bang Bang. Just joking.

We were supposed to have a quiz today with the year eights but one of our ASDAN group didn't turn up so we had to go back into boring RS. I get to find out if anyone from my year has signed up to write on my blog tomorrow. Just a short entry tonight. Night night!

Sport Relief mile

I did a mile for sport relief today and I got a medal as well. We did it in about fifteen or sixteen minutes and I had a hurting foot half way through but I was fine. We got a goody bag but it was a couple of leaflets and salt and a bar of something. The other thing was the medal.

I have school tomorrow so I will start collecting the money and I'm going to show my medal to my friends. Apart from that it's been a normal day. I'm off to sleep now. Night night. Here's a picture of us after the mile.

Blackberry neck. Is it real?

I was having a look at a video today and it was saying that there's a thing called blackberry neck that people get from texting. I'm still not sure if it's true. I'm doing the sport relief mile in around twelve hours from now. I was also just having a look at the ecotopia bike tour 2010 site because there's someone who said that they will write on my blog who's organising it.

I might be getting a new touchscreen phone soon. Not sure yet though. I'll see what I can get. Got to go because I need a good sleep in preparation for tomorrow.

Exam results day

I got my results for the science mock exam I did in January today. I got a C and scored something like 32 out of 34. I also got my work experience placement today. I have to do it in school because school are the ones who are trained on how to use my emergency medication. The official job title is a General Teaching Admin Assistant.

We have an assembly about our work experience tomorrow. In my science lesson we got told to turn to page 118 so me and Mrs Preston started singing the theme tune for 118 247. We have a lot of fun in those lessons. I have ASDAN all day tomorrow. Don't know what we are doing though.

I finished my homework for it earlier. I'm off to bed now. Night night to all of my blog readers. Well it might not be night when you read this though.

My operation on my finger

I had the operation on my finger today. I've got it strapped up still but at least it's done. I've got school again tomorrow and some catching up on my ASDAN work to do. Still a bit to do then.

Just a short post tonight as I'm tired from the anesthetic. I will recover though. I have to go back in ten days for a clinic thingy. Got to get to sleep now. Byee!!

Update on opperation and other stuff

I found out that my opperation on my finger will be on Wednesday. I've also managed to get the stuff to set up Adobe Dreamweaver today. I'm going to do it tomorrow. It's for the school fairtrade group website.

Sorry if this blog post is set out wierdly. It's because on my iPod it's hard to tell how it will look on my blog. Well I've got an EYCM (European youth climate movement) meeting tomorrow. Also a fairtrade meeting so I'm going to be busy tomorrow. I will probably do a blog post on Friday once I have recovered from my operation and finished with all the meetings. Bye!

Life with one hand (sort of)

On thursday I broke my finger on my right hand. Unfortunatly it means I will have to have a pin or screw in it. I slipped in the toilets at school and broke it. I don't know when I will be having it though.

Last night I went to see Oil city confidential which was very good. I also learned a lot about Dr Ferlgood that was very interesting. Although when I went to bed it said 00:00 on the clock. I'm quite tired so I'm only doing a short post tonight. Byee!

Mostly a good day

Yes. It's been a good day for me but we have no hot water, the water is dripping through the sealing and the computer desk has broken. Although I am ok. I got two new CDs yesterday. One being the new Owl city album and the other is the album for the Brits.

I can't wait for the new Ellie Goulding album to come out tomorrow. I will be one of the first to download it. Lots of music I want recently for some reason. I have Life skills tomorrow and a five lesson day. BORING!!!! I mean lifeskills instead on of the other lessons. I got three new games on my iPod. Tap tap Revenge, touch hockey & touch tennis. I'm not very good at them but I can't stop playing on them. Anyway. I think that's it. Feel free to comment. Byeee!!!

For once I don't have a random blog post title

Yems. Sorry. No random title tonight. In about four days I will be a quarter of the way through my GCSEs. My attendence is somthing like 90.3 percent.

I was watching tv earlier and an advert for the new version of the nintendo ds i came on. They have now created an extra large version so it's now called the nintendo ds i xl. Can they not stop putting extra letters on. Next it will be a special edition and then it will have se on the end. Anyway as I haven't got a random blog title I thought I would put something a bit random in.

I have started to research where I might go to college. It's not for a while but I was just having a look as lots of my friends have been talking about where they want to go to college. That's it really. Just a quick short one tonight. I'm off now. Bye!!

I was back on my bike today

This was the first time I’ve been back on my bike properly this year. We got some good weather at last. I went round the village but as it was muddy I got mud on my jeans. I also managed to free up eighteen gigabytes of space on my computer today. it was down to about five.

I’ve nearly completed the second article for my enviroblog as I call it. you will probably know the one I mean. I just need to come up with a conclusion to it. I’ve been writing it with the other author on the blog called Freddie. He will probably be able to help me. So look out for that coming up on the blog in the next couple of days (not this one). I also got a video of a couple of sample recordings of me playing the guitar on YouTube. if you click on the text in the last sentence it should come up.  behind me is Jim who for those who don’t know is my cat playing with the blind cord and a giant pencil. I was going to try to get a picture but it didn’t work.

When we go on holiday we are going to Lanzarote. I was just having a look at it earlier on Google earth. It’s strange because they’re on the same time as us. Strange but useful. Finally in the Winter Olympics team GB got there first gold and really there first medal. YAY! Till the next blog adiós!

Environment blog update and normal blog

My new environment blog is going well and I managed to get an extra writer for it. Possibly two. For some reason every time the guitar solo on the cover version of Don't stop believin' comes on I can't help doing air guitar. Unfortunatly I can't do the real thing yet.

I have worked out a way to create pages on my blog so I can cut down the amount of blogs I have. I know some people who will be glad to hear that. Look at the drawing I managed to do on my new iPod.

You can do it as well on jacksonpollock.org. Yesterday I went to see horrible science and the second half was in 3D. It was really good. I didn't expect 3D to be so good. Although I'm still happy with none 3D as well. That's all I've really got to say so byeeee!!

Organizing my sport relief mile

As I said in the last blog post I'm doing the sports relief mile and today I got my first few sponsors and a youth club team to run it with. All together there are twelve or thirteen of us. Apart from that not much special has happened today.

I had a five lesson day because it's week one on Monday when we have Life skills. We were filling in our work experience form which I didn't need to do as mine is being organised by learning support. We had a talk from year elevens who have already done theres and were telling us about what to expect. Sorry if thisblog post is layed out wierdly. I can't tell how it will show up on the page. Anyway till the next post Dovizhdane.

I came up with a clever title for this blog but I can't remember what it was

Today I signed up to do the sport relief mile and so did mum. I need as many sponsors as possible so I will leave a link in my next blog. I've got the hicups just before going to bed. I also downloaded the new helping Haiti single today and can't stop listening to it.

I'm off to bed now. Night night. Oh sorry for the short blog tonight. It's probably the shortest ever. I'm tired so I haven't done a long one tonight.

Six nations. BORING!

Today was the start of the six nations. As always we will have a few weeks when Dad & Dennis think that they have complete control over the tv and we don't get to watch much else. This is why I find it boring & annoying. I managed to beat my score on cube runner three times while dad was watching the rugby.

I think I might be doing the sports relief mile in Darlington when it comes. If anyone wants to sponsor me please tell me. Anyway apart from earlier I haven't had my computer on much today. I was using my iPod. Anyway till the next blog post bye!

Environmentalists meeting & other things

Today in Music Tech I recorded my first ever piece of music for the school work. It's a version of Smoke on the water which included me on guitar and Jack who is another person in my class on piano. It sounds very good.

I also had the normal environmentalists meeting today but we had a guy from the green party doing a talk about what we can do with there help and what is already being done. We got a few info leaflets as well. He is also a govener for the school. I haven't got anything else to say so until next time bye! There's just one exclamation mark tonight.

P2P & normal blog

Today I've been doing another Playground to podium event at Catterick. They tested us and our results will be put on a website. We can then compare them with other people around the country. I worked out that this morning I only had 45 minutes of lessons and only an hour this afternoon.

We had a fairtrade meeting today and we finally had a meeting with no arguing because last meeting there was lots of it. we were talking a lot about how we can make the school a fairtrade school and how to make Richmond a fairtrade town. As you can probably tell from the top of my post I have got my new iPod. It's very useful but I can't get any apps on to it yet. Anyway till the next time byeeee!!

An eventful day

Yep. Over the last day there’s been another fight between people who I won’t name on here but I will say that they were both year 10s. There was one yesterday as well but today they got the police involved. apparently Speako (Mr Speakman) was told and they presumably called the police. We also didn’t have the Fairtrade meeting today in the end which I’m annoyed about. I managed to lose half of my ICT coursework to Microsoft Access which wouldn’t let me save it. I’ve got to re-build my database. Mr Cox was warning us not to put anything from other schools on the school system because many of the local ones have had bad viruses on. one of the viruses at Risedale managed to wipe out all the user accounts in the who of the school so we don’t want that to happen. The last time that happened it was a student who had put a virus he had created on the school system to stop everyone from using the computers but him. not good. I’m doing Yoga in ASDAN tomorrow. Until the next post adijo!

Climate Change meetings

Today and yesterday I’ve had EYCM and school Climate Change meetings. I’m just writing an article about energy saving on your computer but I can’t find the watt usage for the Apple Mac. Anyway I’ve been doing these meetings and the outcome wasn’t much but what did come out of them was useful and interesting. The EYCM are trying to organise a meet up in possibly London but mum isn’t all that keen on me going. Gran has said that she might be able to take me though. I’ve finally worked out how to transfer the music from my Multitrack Recorder to my computer so I’ve been doing a bit of recording. We’ve been doing a project in music tech to try to record each of us playing something and put it into a song on the Multitrack recorder. It took me and my helper who was helping in my RS lesson most of the lesson to find it today and we eventually found it but it hadn’t been changed on the school system. I’ve got a Fairtrade meeting tomorrow as it was re-organised again. I will hopefully blog on here tomorrow but till then hwyl fawr.

For lunch you can have sandwiches, sandwiches or sandwiches

Yes. The kitchen had a gas leek and so had no gas. Everyone in the hall was eating them. it’s a bit of a long and random blog title but oh well. We also had some A Level psychology students in our ASDAN lesson today as we are doing about social interactions and they were doing something similar but they weren’t allowed to tell us. in tutor time today we came in to find our board with marks of pen all over it. Apparently the new head had used permanent marker on it and we had to get it off. We ended up using a board rubber, toilet paper and some water in the end. as always my blog posts are random. My fourth cousin does a lot of random posts on her blog. I hope I won’t get as bad as her. No offence Daisy. BYEEEEEEE until we meet again!

I’ve run out of interesting blog post titles

Yes. I can’t think of one for today. I had my science test today. I typed tomorrow at first but I just corrected it. I was playing a game in maths today where we had a three by three grid and we got given numbers. we had to put them in the right place so they would add up to the nearest to one-thousand. I didn’t get anywhere near one-thousand but I did somehow get my bus number in there. Another really weird thing that happened today was that I opened up my planner to see where I was last lesson and before I could even look at my timetable a boy walked past me and said i had English. i looked down at my timetable and he was right. I’ve got ASDAN tomorrow so one lesson all day. Yay! I will probably blog tomorrow but you will just have to wait and see. Till the next time Farvel!

Revision (NOT AGAIN!)

That right. Because our results don’t come back till March we have to do a test to give us a grade to go on our progress checks. I’ve got the test tomorrow so I’ve had to revise tonight. That’s the boring bit of the blog post done. now lets talk about other stuff I did today. Well I finished typing up my essay just in time for the last session in the computer room. I’ve also been writing my article about Environmentally friendly computing. I’ve had to send a load of emails to get the info I want. Oh well. I' have also been at the meeting for the group for Climate Change awareness and I managed to get a bit further with my blogging project. I was talking to a guy called Chris who says he will try to find some bloggers at school council. We have also been sorting out my work experience placement today but I have to stay in school. Luckily Learning support do most of the organisation of that. When I was doing my revision Jim kept peaking over the book and walked on it. He got paw prints all over it. For my blog readers who don’t know Jim is my cat. it was funny but annoying at the same time. For now Ha det!

Strange news stories

Today I found out that the sports training for people with disabilities that I went to is on again on the second of February. I also found a strange news story about the texting world cup. No doubt that will go on my news blog. The only really bad thing that happened today was that I got a Trojan virus on my computer. I've had to run my computer in safe mode and remove it. I'm not sure if you've noticed but my posts are becoming more and more random every time. Weird. In assembly today we had a minuted silence for the people in Haiti. I'm dedicating this blog post to them and just hoping that things get back to normal soon. Anyway that's pretty much it. Till the next post (which will probably be tomorrow) au revoir.

What terrifies Bill Gates?

I don’t know but that’s the advert I keep getting up on my computer. Apparently the death of Microsoft. Anyway back to my normal blog posts. Today and over the week end I’ve been working on my ICT coursework because according to Mr Cox’s timetable I’m about a week behind. Nearly got it done though. We’ve also been helping organize what will be at Culture Shock 2010. In case you don’t know Culture shock is a great big festival for people in North Yorkshire. Anyway. I suggested journalism and then we did all our ideas on big pieces of paper. I’ve also got a note about a club that I don’t even go to anymore. Oh well. The other day I was talking to one of my friends in NATO Phonetic Alphabet. it was just a bit off fun. we were having an MSN conversation in it. We also started playing each other tunes on keyboard and guitar over the mics and seeing if we could guess them. It’s been a fun and rather strange last couple of days. oh well. till the next time arrivederci.

After the exam

it’s now six hours and 45 mins after my exam and I only missed one question in the whole paper. My reader/writer could write but she kept reading the questions wrong. I had to keep correcting her. Also today I’ve been doing the last bits of planning for my ICT Database Coursework. Just managed to use one table in the end. I’ve also been doing my English Coursework which is an essay about the first chapter of Jane Eyre. Just been typing it up on the computer. I’ve nearly finished it.

Sorry if this post is boring you with stuff about school but this is what I’ve been doing. All I’ve got to do now is finish off the last bits of my ICT coursework and wait for the grade from my exam. The grade could take a while though. They normally do. I’m going to see the deputy head tomorrow about stuff for the Global Warming awareness group. About how the new school will be environmentally friendly. A lot to do. I luckily have time for blogging though. Anyway that’s it but that’s also a lot. Till the next post Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Pre Exam Week Blog

My new project for Global warming awareness isn't going too well but i've got a couple of bloggers who would like to do it. If you don't know whay my project is I'm doing a blogging project to get as many people blogging about Global warming or Climate change as possible. So far I've got one signed up and two others that say they will do it but haven't signed up yet. On Thursday first lesson I have a mock GCSE Science exam. I've been doing revision quite a lot of today. One of my friends hasn't bothered to do any and doesn't know when his exam is. Oh well. I might blog after my exam but keep an eye out anyway. You probably won't see anything on here before then as I will be revising. Well until the next blog Byeeee!
